m-s-dhoni-the-untold-story-review_secvpfThe much anticipated biopic of the successful Indian cricket captain, M.S. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, got released today and the review is here.

The film starts with Dhoni’s birth, being brought up, his entry to the sports and ends with winning the World Cup for India. Having studied the nook and corner of the cricketer’s life, director Neeraj Pandey has filmed this biopic. Although Dhoni’s life history is known to many people, the director has excited the audience with his efficient and eminent narration.

Actor Sushant Singh has lived up the role of Dhoni and makes the viewers wonder with his perfect sync to the actions of the sports icon. A special mention should be made for the reprisal of the player’s favourite helicopter shot and the style of walking. The actor’s hard work pays him the price in the film.

Sushant has portrayed his role in a very realistic manner and is very expressive with the sentiment, emotional and love sequences. During the sports related scenes, the graphic works of morphing Rajput’s face on the original footage of the player has come out great. Although the run time of the film extends beyond three hours, audience are not bored and it proves the success of the film maker.

Having taken up the sister role of Dhoni, actress Bhumika has made her re-entry to the field. She and veteran actor Anupam Kher who comes as Dhoni’s father, have proved their experience in their performance.

Songs are enjoyable with Amaal Malik’s music and the back ground music of Sanjoy Chowdhury is also excellent. Santosh Thundiyil’s camera does the magic and adds the strength to the screenplay.

Over all, M.S.Dhoni is sure to cross 100 days run.
