Florida sinks nearly 200 unwanted concrete pipes to create new ocean reef

Concrete pipes and structures have found new life as an artificial reef off Florida's coastline. This dynamic project aims to enrich marine ecosystems in the region's sandy ocean floors, driven by partnerships among fishing clubs, government agencies, and conservation organizations. The new reef encourages ecological growth and offers promising recreational fishing opportunities, with future assessments planned to observe the environmental outcomes of these developed habitats.
