Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announces 3% DA hike for 16 lakh employees, pensioners ahead of Deepavali

Tamil Nadu's chief minister Joseph Vijay announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance for employees and pensioners. The hike will raise the allowance from 60% to 63%, effective retroactively from July 1. This change aligns the state government’s DA with the recent increase for central government employees. Around 16 lakh individuals will benefit from this 3% increase in Dearness Allowance.
